With the All-Star game right around the corner, this week’s StewPod is here to get you prepared for baseball’s Midsummer Classic. And we’ve got a heck of a guest to help. John Smoltz, an eight-time All-Star and Hall of Fame pitcher, joins the podcast to give us an insider’s perspective on the game.

Smoltz is actually preparing for something new this year. Even though he’s played in plenty of All-Star games, he’s making his first appearance in the All-Star broadcast booth. He’ll be next to Joe Buck during Fox’s coverage of the game Tuesday, which begins at 7 p.m. ET with pregame coverage on Fox Sports 1.
We cover a variety of All-Star related topics with Smoltz, from the memories of his first All-Star appearance to which pitchers he thinks should start this year. We also talk about his Hall of Fame induction last season and what he’s looking forward to this year.
