NC State freshman point guard Dennis Smith Jr. is weeks away from culminating in his dream of hearing his name called during NBA Draft at 7 p.m. June 22.
The Wolfpacker's Jacey Zembal takes a deep dive on what players could be Smith's point guard competition and how he fits in with various teams in the lottery. Some situations might be better fits than others, and some organizations are also more stable.
Smith is slotted to go between No. 6 and No. 9 in the various mock drafts, but could the best fits be with the Dallas Mavericks at No. 9 or Denver Nuggets at No. 13? Sometimes going higher isn't better. The podcast was taped prior to Smith signing with agent Kim Grillier.
