Detroit Pistons point guard Brandon Jennings will miss three weeks because of an impacted wisdom tooth and hairline fracture at the base of it, the team announced Tuesday.
The Pistons said Jennings will be re-evaluated after a three-week immobilization period.
Jennings, who averaged 17.5 points and 6.5 assists last season with Milwaukee, joined the Pistons this summer in a sign-and-trade deal from the Bucks. He signed a three-year, $24 million contract.
The Pistons have some backcourt depth to cover with Will Bynum, Chauncey Billups and rookie Peyton Siva.
