The honeymooners are making moves. Following their lavish wedding this weekend, newlyweds Pippa Middleton and James Matthews touched down at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday, May 22, only to board another plane for their final destination: Tetiaroa Island.

The couple is reportedly jetting off to the luxurious Brando resort in French Polynesia, where they will enjoy the property’s eco-tourism offerings. According to reports, a one-night stay at the celeb-beloved spot will set the couple back $3,500 a night.

Stars who’ve previously traveled to the elite spot include Oprah Winfrey, Tom Hanks, and Barack and Michelle Obama in April. Marlon Brando, who once owned the island, reportedly fell in love with the locale while filming the 1962 movie, Mutiny on the Bounty.

Getting to paradise, however, requires quite the trek. Middleton, 33, and Matthews, 41, had to first fly from Europe to Los Angeles–typically a 10 to 11-hour flight–and then they had to travel another eight hours to get to Tahiti. From there, the two were transferred to Tetiaroa via a quick, 20-minute flight.

Here’s why the long journey is completely worth it. The resort features 35 cottages, and offers its clientele complete privacy. Not only is the locale the quintessential spot for serenity, but the resort boasts of several fine dining options. Polynesian-inspired cuisine is crafted by Guy Martin, a Michelin star-rated chef renowned for his restaurant Le Grand Véfour in Paris, France.
