Currently, social media is flooded with photos of bunny-eared ribbons as tribute to those lost in the Manchester bombing, and now, tattoos of bumble bees are joining the mix.

Historically, the worker bee has represented the hard-working people of Manchester, a symbol that evolved from the city's bustling cotton mills, the Guardian reports.

Following the tragedy, tattoo parlors across the city are taking part in the Manchester Tattoo Appeal, giving bee tattoos and donating all the proceeds to the victims of the bombing.

Parlors are taking walk-ins throughout the next week and the results are all over Instagram.
