Penn State to wear retro uniforms vs. Indiana (Video)
Penn State’s uniforms are going to look different for the Nittany Lions’ game vs. Indiana on Sept. 30.
The school unveiled retro uniforms on Thursday that will pay tribute to past teams — including the 1959 Liberty Bowl champions with embroidery on the jersey.

The numbers on the jerseys will be the same font that was on Penn State uniforms in the 1950s and 1960s. The facemasks on the helmets will be gray instead of navy blue. The players will also have their numbers on the sides of their helmet like Alabama traditionally has.
We weren’t expecting stark departures for a Penn State alternate uniform given the team’s traditional look, but these look really good. What do you think? We know one thing for sure, the PSU players certainly like them:
