Penn State linebacker recruit Zayd Issah was arrested for his alleged role in a counterfeit cash scheme, according to a Patriot-News report.
The three-star linebacker recruit was arrested after allegedly trying to use counterfeit cash at a McDonalds on March 9. He faces two felony counts each of forgery and conspiracy to forgery and four misdemeanor charges of theft by deception.
Citing to the arrest report, the paper said Issah and two other suspects fled when police arrived. The two other suspects were apprehended and identified Issah in the fraud.
Penn State hasn't issued a statement on Issah's arrest, the paper said. He's not scheduled to enroll until the fall.
