The Pittsburgh Penguins signed forwards Tanner Glass to a two-year contract and Riley Holzapfel to a one-year deal Sunday.
The hard-hitting Glass, whose salary averages $1.1 million annually, had career highs of five goals and 16 points in 78 games last season for the Winnipeg Jets. He led the Jets with 248 hits.
Glass is expected to take over Arron Asham's spot on the fourth line after Asham signed a two-year contract with the New York Rangers.
Holzapfel, 23, had 16 goals and 37 points for two teams in the AHL last season.
