Jeff Teague finished with 15 points and added 10 assists and 6 rebounds in an impressive all-around performance to lead the Atlanta Hawks to a close victory over the Denver Nuggets, 97-92. This is the third consecutive victory for Atlanta (29-35).
Teague went 6-13, including 1-3 from three-point range. Other key performers for Atlanta were Paul Millsap with 24 points and 11 rebounds, and DeMarre Carroll with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Kenneth Faried had a big game for Denver despite the loss, putting up 25 points on 9-13 shooting from the field and 7-13 from the free throw line. He also added 7 rebounds. J.J. Hickson chipped in 11 points and 10 rebounds.
This drops Denver (29-37) to 1-1 against Atlanta on the year.
