Paul George scores 25, Pacers squeak by Celtics

In an impressive all-around performance, Lance Stephenson put up 16 points and recorded 9 rebounds and 6 assists to help the Indiana Pacers steal one from the Boston Celtics, 102-97. The Pacers played an efficient game offensively, shooting 39-77 (50.6%) from the field and turning it over just nine times. Indiana (45-13) has now won four straight games.

Stephenson shot 5-8 and went 5-6 from the free throw line, in an efficient offensive performance. Other key performers for Indiana were Paul George with 25 points and 8 rebounds, and David West with 12 points and 7 rebounds. Jeff Green had another quality performance for Boston in the loss, putting up 27 points on 10-22 shooting (2-5 on 3-point attempts), in addition to going 5-6 from the free throw line. Rajon Rondo contributed 12 points and 11 assists and Jared Sullinger finished with 10 points and 6 rebounds.

Boston (20-40) has now dropped three straight contests versus Indiana.

Coming up, the Pacers square off against the Utah Jazz, who are 21-37 on the season. The Celtics match up with the Golden State Warriors, currently sitting at 36-23 this year. The Pacers are 1-0 versus Utah this season. The Celtics are 0-1 versus Golden State this season.
