Gerard Warren is expected to re-sign with the Patriots this week, according to NFL Network.
Warren signed a one-year deal in August 2011, but was released in the final roster cutdown in September. He re-signed days later, and coach Bill Belichick said the two sides agreed to a deal that was likely built around a smaller base salary and more incentives for production.
Warren, a 11-year veteran, played in 11 games last season. He's 33 and considered a role player, likely to be in competition for a roster spot in training camp.
