The Carolina Panthers brought back a familiar face on Sunday, signing veteran offensive lineman Travelle Wharton to help their depleted ranks there, per the Charlotte Observer.
Wharton spent the first eight seasons of his NFL career with the Panthers, and can play both guard and tackle.
Last year, he was injured in preseason with the Cincinnati Bengals and has not played since, but he helps the Panthers as he could challenge Garry Williams for the starting right guard position.
