Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Nick Perry was injured Sunday in Baltimore in the midst of the best game of his young career.
Perry suffered a broken foot and will miss at least one month. With injuries mounting, the Packers face a difficult decisions on how best to use their one "IR-designation to return" spot.
Perry was starting at right outside linebacker, the anchor pass-rushing position in Dom Capers' defense, in place of All-Pro Clay Matthews. Matthews suffered a broken thumb last week and is out until at least mid-November.
He had three sacks and two forced fumbles in the past two games.
Perry, a first-round pick in 2012 from Southern Cal, returned to the right side after failing to get comfortable as a rookie as the left-side pass rusher opposite Matthews. He played just six games as a rookie before injuries knocked him out of the lineup.
Perry played more than 80 percent of his snaps with the Trojans on the right side.
