Packers Beat Eagles, 53-20
Aaron Rodgers had a huge day throwing the ball, paving the way to a one-sided victory for the Packers over the Eagles, 53-20, at home.
Rodgers punished the Eagles for three scores on 22 of 36 passing for 341 yards and no interceptions. In comparison, Mark Sanchez went 26 of 44 with 346 yards passing, two touchdowns, two picks and two fumbles for the Eagles.
Eddie Lacy was a standout player for the Packers, rushing for 69 yards on 10 attempts with a touchdown in addition to three receptions for 45 yards and another touchdown. In the fourth quarter, he found a hole in the defense for a 32-yard catch for a score. Randall Cobb was a top receiver, catching 10 passes for 129 yards.
The Green Bay defense was the difference in the victory, taking one interception and one fumble for touchdowns. They got to Sanchez for three sacks.
Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin gave a standout effort with 93 receiving yards and one touchdown. Wide receiver Jordan Matthews also gave a strong effort with 107 receiving yards and one touchdown.
Next week, the Packers travel to to face the Vikings (4-6) while the Eagles are at home against the Titans (2-7).
