Wide receiver Jeremy Ross was released by the Green Bay Packers one day after fumbling a kickoff against Cincinnati that led to a touchdown for the Bengals.
Ross appeared to indicate he lost site of the ball in the sun. However, he also muffed a punt return in last January's playoff loss at San Francisco that led to a 49ers touchdown.
Ross has played in eight regular-season games over the past two years, averaging 17.9 yards on nine kickoff returns, 20.5 yards on six punt returns and made one catch for 8 yards.
