Indiana Pacers small forward Chris Copeland had successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to remove a loose body, the team announced Friday.
Copeland will need six to eight weeks to recover and is expected to be ready for the start of training camp in September.
Copeland averaged 8.7 points and 2.1 rebounds per game for the New York Knicks last season. He signed a two-year, $6 million free agent deal with the Pacers in July.
