With heavy snow in the forecast for Indianapolis, the Indiana Pacers postponed their scheduled Wednesday night home game against the Chicago Bulls.
No makeup date was immediately announced, but tickets for Wednesday's game will be valid for the rescheduled game.
The team cited the weather conditions and concerns over travel safety as the reasons for the postponement.
The Pacers (16-12) and Bulls (15-12) rank first and second in the Central Division.
The delay might benefit the Bulls, who played Tuesday, losing 120-97 at home against the Houston Rockets. Chicago forward Luol Deng sustained a right ankle injury in the game, which left him questionable for Wednesday.
The Pacers haven't played since Saturday, when they beat the Hornets 81-75 in New Orleans.
Indiana has won six of its past seven games, while Chicago has lost three of its past five.
