Oscar Robertson's company facing foreclosure

Legendary basketball player Oscar Robertson and his wife owe more than $2.4 million to banks for their company headquarters in Ohio and are facing foreclosure.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reported Robertson owes $200,000 in property taxes and interest and holds two loans on the Fairfield, Ohio, building, and the chemical company has 14 open tax liens against it.

The paper reports Robertson's foreclosure case was scheduled for a Thursday hearing in Butler County Common Pleas Court.

Robertson claims to have not known of the foreclosure proceedings until Aug. 15 because he runs the business from his home to care for his ill wife, Yvonne.

The bank holding the first loan hasn't received payment on $1.8 million due in principal since November 2011, per the Enquirer. There's another loan of nearly $600,000 with a separate lender.

The company underwent a bankruptcy filing in 1996. Robertson remained as president and CEO.
