Olympic fencer drops cell phone mid-bout

Like most young adults, French fencer Enzo Lefort is attached to his smartphone.

So attached, apparently, that he couldn’t bear to part with it during his Round of 32 bout in Sunday’s individual foil competition.

While Lefort was going against Germany’s Peter Joppich, his phone fell onto the floor, causing the bout to be stopped.

No word on if the 24-year-old missed any important texts, tweets, Snapchats or Instagrams while he had to briefly part with his beloved phone.
