Old Dominion beats Georgia Southern 86-69

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) -- Aaron Bacote scored 26 points as Old Dominion won its fourth straight with an 86-69 victory over Georgia Southern on Saturday in a Cancun Challenge matchup.

Old Dominion (4-1) shot 59.3 percent from the field in the first half, during which they made 8 of 12 from beyond the 3-point arc. The Monarchs broke an early tie with an 18-3 run to extend their lead to 27-12 in the first half.

The Monarchs shot 51.9 percent from the floor for the game while Georgia Southern (2-3) was just 35.1 percent.

Jordan Baker was 4 of 5 on 3-pointers for Old Dominion and scored 17 points.

Tre Bussey led Georgia Southern with 28 points while Jelani Hewitt added 23.
