OFFICIAL: Kaizer Chiefs confirm Molangoane signing

The two worked together at Platinum Stars between 2009 and 2010, and Molangoane revealed that Komphela showed from the beginning that he wanted him at Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs have finally unveiled winger Joseph Molangoane as their man on Friday as he joins from Chippa United on a two-and-a-half-year contract.

The Amakhosi welcome the 28-year-old with open arms as he becomes the third player to join from Chippa and the second with Orlando Pirates links, after William Twala’s signing last January.

“We would like to confirm the signing of Joseph Molongoane from Chippa United till 30 June 2019. Welcome to the family,” the club said in a twitter post.

Previous players to join the Glamour Boys from the Chilli Boys include strikers David Zulu and Edward Manqele in addition to Twala, while players from the former club, like Bongani Ndulula have headed the other way too.

Molongoane is one of few players to have played for both of the country’s big giants in Chiefs and Pirates.

However, he had a rather forgettable spell at Bucs where he had limited game-time before being loaned out to AmaZulu and eventually sold to Chippa along with Twala.

He will probably make his debut against his former side when the Amakhosi visit Chippa on Saturday.
