DURHAM, N.H. (AP) -- Mark Nwakamma had 23 points and eight rebounds to lead Hartford to a 51-40 victory over New Hampshire in an America East Conference game on Thursday night to snap a three-game losing streak.
Hartford pulled away from a 27-25 second-half deficit with an 11-0 run, taking a 36-27 lead at the 10:05 mark fueled by six points from Nwakamma.
Evan Cooper scored 10 points for the Hawks (11-9, 4-3), whose bench outscored New Hampshire's 9-2.
Chandler Rhoads had 13 points and six rebounds, and Chris Matagrano and Ferg Myrick scored 10 each for the Wildcats (4-14, 0-6), who have lost eight in a row.
Hartford shot 4 of 17 from beyond the arc to New Hampshire's 0 of 10.
The game was tied at 19-19 at the half, with Hartford shooting 32 percent from the field (8 of 25) and New Hampshire shooting 31.6 percent (6 of 19).
