Notre Dame offered a player who projects as one of the top prospects in the 2019 class Monday evening in Loganville (Ga.) Grayson linebacker Owen Pappoe.
The sophomore already held offers from the likes of Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State and USC before the Irish came calling.
Pappoe will likely be one of the top linebackers in the 2019 class when the rankings are completed and he already holds more than 30 offers.
Pappoe helped lead Grayson to a Class 7A state title this past season while collecting 90 total tackles and seven sacks, according to The Telegraph in Macon, Ga.
He has taken visits to Alabama, Georgia and Florida State so far this year. The 6-2, 202-pounder is offer No. 19 in the 2019 class for Notre Dame and the first Peach State product.
Notre Dame will face stiff competition over the course of Pappoe’s recruitment with many of the nation’s top programs in hot pursuit.
