Northwestern will honor late Nebraska punter Sam Foltz with a sticker on the back of their helmets when the two teams meet this week in the Big Ten opener.

The announcement comes just days after Oregon honored Foltz by laying flowers on the 27-yard line prior to warmups. Foltz wore No. 27 for the Huskers.

Foltz was killed in a car crash prior to the season when he was returning home from a kicking camp in Wisconsin. Former Michigan State punter Mike Sadler also was killed and LSU kicker Colby Delahoussaye was injured in the accident.
