Nick Young scores 26, Lakers slip by Nets

The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Brooklyn Nets in a close one, 99-94. Los Angeles (8-8) picked up the win after falling to Washington Wizards on Tuesday.

Nick Young came off the bench and had a big game, putting up 26 points on 8-16 shooting from the field (4-6 from behind the arc) and 6-6 from the free throw line. Pau Gasol also contributed for Los Angeles, finishing with 21 points and 8 rebounds. Despite the loss, Joe Johnson put up 18 points for Brooklyn on 6-19 shooting, including 2-7 from behind the arc. Andray Blatche added 14 points and 8 rebounds and Paul Pierce finished with 12 points and 6 rebounds.

Brooklyn (4-11) could not get back-to-back victories after defeating Toronto on Tuesday.
