Rangers 3, Islanders 2
Benoit Pouliot's goal with 6:14 left in the third period capped an entertaining, back-and-forth game and lifted the New York Rangers to a contentious win over the New York Islanders.
Chris Kreider and Ryan McDonagh scored power-play goals for the Rangers (4-7-0) who trailed 2-1 following second-period goals from the Islanders' Cal Clutterbuck and Peter Regin.
The Islanders (4-5-3) played their first game since the blockbuster trade Sunday for left wing Thomas Vanek, who was held to one shot in the loss.
The game featured flaring tempers as there were at least three skirmishes as well as a fight between the Islanders' Matt Martin and the Rangers' Derek Dorsett in the second, and pushing and shoving from both teams as time expired.

Blues 3, Jets 2
Alexander Steen scored with 54.4 seconds left, giving him his NHL-best 11th goal and giving the St. Louis Blues a victory over the Winnipeg Jets.
With the goal, Steen broke a tie with the other Alexander - Ovechkin.
Alex Pietrangelo and Brenden Morrow scored for the Blues, who extended their undefeated-in-regulation streak to five games at 3-0-2. Blake Wheeler and Bryan Little scored for Winnipeg.

Blackhawks 6, Senators 5
Jonathan Toews scored a natural hat trick, while Andrew Shaw added two goals, including the game-winner, as the Chicago Blackhawks rallied to defeat the Ottawa Senators.
With his team down 4-2, Toews, the Blackhawks captain, ran off three straight goals before Shaw notched what proved to be the deciding goal for Chicago (8-2-3) at 14:10 in the third period.

Ducks 3, Flyers 2
Kyle Palmieri scored the go-ahead goal with 4:09 left in the game after getting the tying goal earlier in the period, and the Anaheim Ducks rallied to beat the Philadelphia Flyers.
Andrew Cogliano also scored a goal and Jonas Hiller made 35 saves for the Ducks, who are 10-3.
Matt Read and Vinny Lecavalier had Philadelphia's goals. The Flyers are 3-8.

Devils 2, Lightning 1
Jaromir Jagr and Adam Henrique scored second-period goals as the New Jersey Devils edged the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Goaltender Martin Brodeur made 16 saves to earn the victory while Lightning netminder Ben Bishop stopped 20-of-22 shots but was saddled with his second loss of the season.
Steven Stamkos scored for the Lightning (8-4-0), who had their three-game win streak snapped.

Canadiens 2, Stars 1
Michael Bournival and Rene Bourque scored, Carey Price made 26 saves and the Montreal Canadiens defeated the Dallas Stars.
Defenseman Raphael Diaz assisted on both goals by Montreal (8-5-0) who earned its third win in four games.

Maple Leafs 4, Oilers 0
Phil Kessel, Nazem Kadri and James van Riemsdyk combined for eight points to lead Toronto to a rout.
James Reimer posted the win and shutout with 43 saves.
The Leafs, who led 1-0 after 20 minutes and 3-0 after 40, improved to 9-4-0, while the last-place Oilers have just three wins in their first 14 games.

Coyotes 3, Kings 1
Derek Morris and Shane Doan scored in the final two minutes of the second period and Phoenix goaltender Mike Smith lost his 25th career shutout on a late power play in Coyotes' victory.
Coyotes center Kyle Chipchura scored early in the third period and added an assist, and rookie center Andy Miele recorded his first NHL points with two assists as the Coyotes (8-3-2) extended their best start in 13 years.
