Nov 7 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of Monday's National Hockey League games: Panthers 3, Lightning 1 Reilly Smith scored the go-ahead goal with 4:28 left and Roberto Luongo broke his four-game losing streak as the Florida Panthers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning 3-1 on Monday night at the BB&T Center. With the score tied 1-1 and time running out in the third period, Smith stole the puck in the Tampa Bay end from Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman. Smith then made a slick stick-handling move before beating Lightning goalie Ben Bishop with a high wrist shot to the stick side just inside the post. Jonathan Marchessault scored the first goal for Florida (6-6-1), which won the Atlantic Division last season but started the day in last place. Derek MacKenzie added an empty-net goal. The Lightning (7-5-1), which beat Florida 4-3 in a shootout earlier this season, could not get its usually high-powered offense untracked. Luongo, who made 34 saves, had a lot to do with that as he outplayed Bishop (28 saves). Islanders 4, Canucks 2 Cal Clutterbuck commemorated his bobblehead night by scoring the tiebreaking goal just before the midway point of the third period as New York beat Vancouver in a battle of slumping teams at Barclays Center. On an evening in which the first 10,000 fans received Clutterbuck bobbleheads, the right winger outraced Canucks left winger Loui Eriksson to put back a rebound of a Johnny Boychuk shot. Andrew Ladd added an insurance goal -- his first since signing a seven-year deal with the Islanders in July -- 99 seconds later as New York (5-6-2) snapped a three-game losing streak (0-1-2) and won for just the second time in the past seven games (2-3-2). Jason Chimera and Nikolay Kulemin also scored for the Islanders while goalie Jaroslav Halak had 30 saves. Daniel Sedin and Markus Granlund scored for the Canucks, who have lost nine straight. Bruins 4, Sabres 0 David Krejci and Riley Nash scored their first goals of the season, Tuukka Rask pitched his 32nd career shutout and the power play woke up to help Boston beat Buffalo. Two nights after allowing two short-handed goals to the New York Rangers and coming in with the same number of power-play goals for and short-handed goals against (three), Brad Marchand, Krejci and David Pastrnak struck for power-play goals. Rask, who was shaky in the 5-2 loss to the Rangers, was sharp en route to making 32 saves, including 14 in the third period.
