NFL roundup: Giants' Connor arrested; new potential combine rules

New York Giants linebacker Dan Connor reportedly was arrested at Philadelphia International Airport for carrying a switchblade knife.
According to Philadelphia TV station WVPI, Connor was arrested around 9 a.m. ET on Saturday morning when Transportation Security Administration agents spotted the knife and called police, according to ProFootballTalk.
According to NBCPhiladelphia.com, Connor, 27, was charged with possession of an offensive weapon.
A Philadelphia native, Connor signed with the Giants in March. He played with the Dallas Cowboys last season after a four-year stretch with the Carolina Panthers. He was drafted by the Panthers out of Penn State in the third round of the 2008 NFL draft.

According to the report, if this measure had been in place this year, a large number of players would not have been invited to the combine.
