If the playoffs began at the conclusion of the 4 p.m. ET games Sunday, the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots would be the top two seeds in the AFC, and they would be joined in the postseason by the Cincinnati Bengals, Indianapolis Colts and Kansas City Chiefs.
All five are guaranteed playoff berths, and the four division winners (Denver, New England, Indianapolis and Cincinnati) are determined.
The NFC postseason program is not quite as certain.
In the AFC, the Broncos defeated the Houston Texans 37-13 Sunday, sealing the AFC West title and a first-round bye.
The Patriots wrapped up the AFC East earlier Sunday when they Miami Dolphins lost to the Buffalo Bills. New England then defeated the Baltimore Ravens 41-7.
The Bengals clinched the AFC North thanks to their 42-14 rout of the Minnesota Vikings and the Ravens' loss. The Colts previously secured the AFC South title.
Here is the NFL playoff picture entering the Sunday night game between the Chicago Bears and Philadelphia Eagles.

--The Bears would clinch the NFC North with a win Sunday night or a win next week against the Green Bay Packers (7-7-1). If Chicago loses Sunday night, the Packers would win the division by beating the Bears next week.
--The Saints clinch the NFC South with a win and a Panthers loss.
--The Saints clinch a playoff spot with a loss, a Panthers win and a 49ers win.
--The Cardinals would be eliminated by a Saints win.
