The Brooklyn Nets' Nov. 1 game against the New York Knicks, which was set to be the NBA-opening event at the team's new Barclay's Center, has been rescheduled for Nov. 26, the league announced Thursday.
The effects of Hurricane Sandy caused New York City officials to postpone the game earlier this week. The Brooklyn arena relies on the 11 subway lines that travel beneath and rail service has yet to completely return to the city.
The game will be televised by the TNT network as originally planned.
