Free-agent guard Wayne Ellington has reached agreement on a two-year, $5 million-plus deal with the Dallas Mavericks, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.
Ellington, 24, joins Jose Calderon and Devin Harris as the third backcourt free-agent signing the Mavericks have made this month.
After the Memphis Grizzlies traded Ellington to the Cleveland Cavaliers midway through last season, he averaged 10.4 points a game over the final 38 games.
In four seasons in the NBA, including his first three with Minnesota, Ellington has averaged 6.9 points a game. He was the 26th overall pick to the Timberwolves out of North Carolina in the 2009 NBA draft.
