The Washington Nationals have placed outfielder Mark DeRosa on the first 15-day disabled list Sunday with a left oblique strain.
To take his roster spot, the Nationals recalled first baseman/outfielder Tyler Moore from Triple-A Syracuse.
DeRosa, 37, was hitting .081 in 13 games this season with two RBIs.
Moore. 25, has batted .286 in 22 games for Syracuse. Both his home runs (seven) and RBIs (22) are tied for third among International League teams.
