Right-hander Stephen Strasburg was activated off the 15-day disabled list to start Sunday's game for the Washington Nationals at Cleveland.
Strasburg (3-5, 2.54) started 12 games before missing two weeks with a strained lat muscle, initially diagnosed as an oblique strain.
The Nationals have been hit hard by injuries over the first two months of the season.
Washington optioned left-handed reliever Xavier Cedeno to Triple-A to create a roster spot for Strasburg.
