The Detroit Lions will be without receiver Nate Burleson for an extended period of time.
Burleson was involved in a single-car crash Monday night and broke his arm in the accident. He will undergo surgery as a result.
The Lions issued a statement on the matter.
"Lions wide receiver Nate Burleson was involved in a one car accident overnight," the statement read. "Burleson suffered a broken arm "and will undergo surgery today. Police confirm there was no alcohol involved. “We will provide appropriate updates when more information on Burleson’s condition becomes available.”
In three games this season, Burleson has 19 receptions for 239 yards.
