Today's NASCAR Number is this week's daily double:

2,999: The number of NASCAR Sprint Cup Series starts for Roush Fenway Racing entering the weekend at Martinsville Speedway. That number is set to grow to 3,002 when Matt Kenseth, Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle take the green flag in Sunday's TUMS Fast Relief 500. Owner Jack Roush notched his first Cup start in the 1988 Daytona 500, with Mark Martin behind the wheel.

3,099: The number of Cup starts for Hendrick Motorsports, most all-time. Rick Hendrick debuted as an owner in the 1984 Daytona 500, where he got an eighth-place finish from driver Geoff Bodine. Over the last 29 years, Hendrick has accumulated 206 Cup victories, second all-time to Petty Enterprises' 268.
