Miles Plumlee registered his 5th double-double this season, scoring 15 points and registering 10 rebounds, to help the Phoenix Suns defeat the Utah Jazz, 112-101. The Suns played an efficient game offensively, shooting 41-75 (54.7%) from the field and turning it over just 8 times. This is the second win in as many games for Phoenix (9-7) after beating Portland on Wednesday.
Plumlee finished 6-9 from the field, in a solid outing. Other top performers for Phoenix were Goran Dragic with 19 points and 9 assists, and Eric Bledsoe with 19 points and 6 rebounds. On 7-11 shooting, including 2-6 from behind the arc, Marvin Williams scored 18 points for Utah in the loss. He also recorded 7 rebounds. Alec Burks chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds, Gordon Hayward finished with 11 points and 7 rebounds, and Jeremy Evans put up 10 points and 7 rebounds.
In addition to their eFG% of 60.0%, the Suns recorded a TO% of 8.9%. They are 1-0 this season when turning the ball over on fewer than 10% of their possessions while also eclipsing 55% in eFG%. On the other hand, the Jazz are 0-1 when allowing such performances to their opponents.
This drops Utah (2-15) to 0-2 against Phoenix on the year.
