MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (AP) -- Reggie Upshaw was one of six players in double figures, scoring a career-high 18, as Middle Tennessee romped to an overwhelming 102-52 victory over Tennessee Temple Tuesday night.
Others in double figures were Neiko Hunter with 16, Shawn Jones and Tharone Chilton both had 11 points and Marcus Tarrance 10.
This is the second time this season that Middle Tennessee (7-3) has scored over 100 points and defeated a team by more than 50 points. The Blue Raiders defeated Fisk 115-65 on Dec. 9.
Weedlens Beauvil hit a 3-pointer to give Tennessee Temple (7-3) the lead to start the game. Jacquez Rozier hit a jumper with 15:41 remaining to give the Blue Raiders a 7-6 lead. They held a 23-21 lead midway of the first period, but then went on a 19-0 run to pull away and closed the first half with another run to lead 56-28 at the break.
