Michigan State tight end Dion Sims likely will miss Saturday's Big Ten home game against Iowa.
Sims, the team's leading receiver with 24 catches, sustained a sprained ankle in the first quarter of last Saturday's win at Indiana. Coach Mark Dantonio isn't totally ruling Sims out this week, but his availability appears doubtful.
"You just don't know how that's going to respond here in the next couple of days," Dantonio said. "I think he'll know more when he starts testing, but I don't think he's playing this week."
If Sims can't go, he'll be replaced by redshirt freshman Paul Lang, who has one reception in his career.
