Michael Jordan at Michigan? Yep, it’s happening according to Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh.

Harbaugh said on the Rich Eisen Show Friday that Jordan would serve as an honorary captain for the Wolverines’ Sept. 3 game against Hawaii.

Michigan is moving from Adidas to Nike for its apparel contract. Nike, which owns the Jordan Brand, will use the brand for Michigan’s uniforms. Hence why Jordan will be in attendance.

The Michigan deal with Nike was the richest apparel deal when it was signed in July 2015 (the contract with Adidas expires at the end of the month). It’s since been surpassed by Ohio State.

So if Michigan loses to Hawaii (small chance) in a similar fashion to the way the Wolverines lost to Appalachian State in 2007, be prepared for a flood of Crying Jordan memes. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
