LAS CRUSES, N.M. (AP) -- D.K. Eldridge scored 16 points with 12 rebounds to lead New Mexico State to an 82-64 victory over South Alabama Saturday night.
Daniel Mullings added 18 points for the Aggies (11-5). Tshilidzi Nephawe scored 12 points with nine rebounds and K.C. Ross-Miller had 10 points and 10 assists. New Mexico State hit 63.5 percent from the field overall and sank 65 percent from the line.
The Aggies jumped to a 19-9 lead halfway through the first period and maintained a double-digit lead into the break, 37-26. Early in the second, Ross-Miller hit a layup, a free throw, and one from beyond the arc within 20 seconds to extend the New Mexico State lead to 16. The Aggies never looked back.
The Jaguars (6-7) were just 43 percent from the field. Augustine Rubit led the team with 11 points and six rebounds.
