Anytime Martini Racing livery is applied to anything, people go nuts. It’s essentially the prettiest paint job to ever grace god’s green Earth. So while it looks fine enough on F1 cars, and leaves us drooling on the Porsche 918 — it is literally the prettiest thing ever when applied to a racing boat.
The Martini V40R by Vector was re-introduced into the sport of powerboat racing just the other day. It’s the first time the sponsor has seen the the broad side of a boat in over 20 years. Officially dubbed the Vector Martini Racing team, the boat is set to make its ocean debut at the London to Monte Carlo Venture Cup on June 7th. Often considered the ‘Le Mans of the sea,’ the 2,500 mile endurance race will put this new boat to the test.
While it’s a mere concept for now, Vector is hard at work on finishing the final product in time for the race. And even then, reports say the team is planning to break several nautical world records, including the Poole to Cherbourg channel crossing later this year.
We don’t know jack about boat racing, but we know who we want to win.
