Update: Martin said Tuesday he doesn't plan to drive the No. 55 Toyota after this season, ESPN.com reports. "My goal is to make this car one of the most wanted rides in NASCAR for 2014," Martin said. "I want to help [crew chief] Rodney Childers get there and see him race for a championship."
Recommendation: The new season hasn't even started, but Martin has already gone on record as not returning to the No. 55 team in 2014. The veteran driver stopped short of saying he would retire at the end of this season but stated he would be around in some form after this year. The No. 55 team should be strong once again with Martin behind the wheel for 25 events this season.
