While, Cleverley does not appear to be a Manchester United quality player, he probably would've been quite useful at Villa. It's hard to fault anyone for wanting to go to Everton over Aston Villa considering what is expected of the two clubs this season. Plus, Cleverley has already worked with Everton manager Roberto Martinez during his loan spell at Wigan Athletic.
That's another name to cross off the list as we inch closer to the transfer deadline.
