LPGA: Thompson vaults to No. 14 following victory

American teenager Lexi Thompson jumped seven spots to No. 14 in the Rolex Women's World Rankings with her four-shot victory at the Sime Darby LPGA Malaysia on Sunday.

South Korea's Inbee Park maintains a comfortable lead at No. 1 with 12.13 points, well ahead of Norway's Suzann Pettersen (10.86), the defending champion at this wek's LPGA KEB Hana Bank Championship in South Korea. American Stacy Lewis remains third, with Korea's So Yeon Ryu and New Zealand amateur Lydia Ko rounding out the top 5.

Thompson, 18, earned her first victory as an LPGA Tour member in Kuala Lumpur. Her leap up the rankings coincided with the continued slide of Yani Tseng, the No. 1 player entering 2013 who fell two more spots to No. 22.

South Korea's Ilhee Lee, who held the lead entering the weekend and finished in a tie for third place Sunday, jumped nine spots to No. 30, the biggest move of the week.
