It should be a great series this weekend for No. 2 ranked Louisville Baseball. Can Louisville's pitching corps slow down Wake's slugging lineup?

The Cardinals start the series Friday night at 6 p.m. with the annual Patriotic game. Louisville is expected to start junior lefty Brendan McKay (4-1, 1.18 ERA, pictured above) and Wake is starting its best pitcher, senior righty Parker Dunshee (5-1, 4.43 ERA).

For Louisville, Wake offers an interesting test. The Demon Deacons have hit 52 home runs already this season. They have 10 players with two or more home runs and five players with 7 or more.

For comparison, Louisville's team leader in home runs, Colby Fitch, has six on the season. McKay and Drew Ellis are tied with five a piece.

Conversely, Wake's best ERA from a regular starter is Connor Johnstone's 2.68. Louisville has seven pitchers with 12 or more innings with a better ERA.
