Long River wins Big A's Time for a Change Stakes

NEW YORK (AP) -- Long River rallied for a two-length win over Micromanage in the $100,000 Time for a Change Stakes for 3-year-olds at Aqueduct on Sunday.

Irad Ortiz, Jr. was aboard for trainer Kiaran McLaughlin as the chestnut colt earned his first stakes victory and third win in eight starts. The time was 1:35.87 for the mile on the fast track.

Long River, the even-money favorite, paid $4.10, $2.30 and $2.10. Micromanage returned $3.20 and $2.30, and Battier paid $2.40 to show.
