Lions make several changes to coaching staff

The Detroit Lions on Monday announced several changes to their coaching staff.
Former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Curtis Modkins has been hired as running backs coach/run game coordinator.
Former Jacksonville Jaguars tight ends coach Bobby Johnson assumes the same position with the Lions.
Tim Lappano, who has been the Lions' tight ends coach for the past four seasons, has moved to become the team's new wide receivers coach.
Lastly, Jeremiah Washburn was promoted from assistant offensive line coach the last four seasons to offensive line coach.
In addition, the team announced special teams coordinator Danny Crossman will not return to the team for the 2013 season.
