The Detroit Lions named Marcus Robertson as their secondary coach on Thursday to replace Tim Walton.
Walton accepted the St. Louis Rams' defensive coordinator position this week. Robertson worked with Walton last season as the Lions' assistant secondary coach.
Robertson's coaching experience includes five seasons with Tennessee (2007-11), where he started as an assistant secondary coach and became the defensive backfield coach in 2009. Before he began coaching, Robertonson served as the Titans' director of player development from 2003 to 2006.
As a player, Robertson spent 12 seasons in the NFL with Houston/Tennessee and Seattle and was named an All-Pro safety in 1993 and 1997.
