The Detroit Lions have placed running back Jerome Harrison on the reserve/non-football illness list.
Harrison was diagnosed with a brain tumor last season when a physical revealed it, nullifying a trade that would have sent him to the Philadelphia Eagles.
The good news here is that Harrison is recovering from surgery to remove the tumor, according to the Lions’ official Web site. His agent Mitchell Frankel said he is “progressing.”
Previously, Harrison played for the Eagles and Cleveland Browns. Per the report, he is ineligible for the entire 2012 season now.
