Undrafted free agent LaAdrian Waddle was in the lineup at left tackle for the Detroit Lions to open the second half, replacing Riley Reiff, who was questionable to return because of a hamstring injury.
Reiff's return appeared unlikely. He was not seen on the sideline when play began in the third quarter, but when Corey Hilliard left the game with a leg injury early in the fourth quarter, Reiff was quickly stretched out by trainers on the sideline and came back in at left tackle. Waddle moved to the right side.
Reiff, a former first-round pick, is in his first season as the starting left tackle for the Lions.
Left tackle Jeff Backus, a first-round pick in 2001, retired after 12 seasons at the end of the 2012 season.
